Veo 3.1 is back, Sora 2 and Zonos are retired, and media prices re-checked

Veo is working again, two discontinued models are retired with clear errors, and every media model's listed price was checked against a real generation.

We just audited every media model on YepAPI by running a real job on each one. Google shut down the Veo 3.1 preview models on October 22, which broke Veo on YepAPI; Veo 3.1, Fast and Lite now run on a different route and work again under the same model IDs. OpenAI shut down the Sora 2 API on September 24 and the Zonos voices are no longer served by any provider, so those are retired. We also corrected listed prices that had drifted from what models actually cost.

What's new

  • Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Fast and Veo 3.1 Lite work again; same model IDs and aliases (`veo`, `veo-fast`, `veo-lite`)
  • Veo is now $0.84/sec at 720p–1080p with audio ($1.27/sec at 4K), and about half that with `generateAudio: false`
  • Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro are retired (OpenAI shut down the API); requests return an error suggesting Veo 3.1 Fast or Veo 3.1
  • Zonos v0.1 Hybrid and Transformer are retired; requests suggest Sesame CSM 1B instead
  • Orpheus 3B moves to $0.0317 per 1,000 characters, matching what its main provider now charges
  • Listed 'from' prices for image models now match a measured standard 1:1 image, several of them lower
  • Fixed: completed videos larger than 10 MB returned an empty response; they now download normally
  • `options.duration` now accepts a number as well as a string

Retired models and their replacements

These models can no longer be served, so requests now return a clear error naming the replacement, and their pages redirect to it.

  • `openai/sora-2` → `google/veo-3-fast`
  • `openai/sora-2-pro` → `google/veo-3`
  • `zyphra/zonos-v0.1-hybrid` and `zyphra/zonos-v0.1-transformer` → `sesame/csm-1b`

Model IDs on the model pages

Some media model pages showed Google's internal model names (for example `google/gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview`) as the model ID, and the API rejected them. The pages now show the YepAPI IDs, such as `google/nano-banana-3-flash` and `google/veo-3`, and the API also accepts the old names so existing code keeps working.
