Why builders choose YepAPI
No Walmart approval or request signing
You do not need a Walmart developer account, affiliate approval, or signed requests. One YepAPI key works on both Walmart endpoints, and on our Amazon, SEO, SERP, scraping, and AI APIs too.
Walmart API pricing: $0.01 per call
Search and product lookups each cost a flat $0.01 per call, failed calls are free, and there is no monthly minimum. New accounts get $5 in free credit, which is 500 calls.
Structured JSON, not scraped HTML
Prices, rollback prices, ratings, sellers, stock, specifications, variants, and delivery options come back as clean JSON. A Walmart scraper's output without running a scraper.
Local prices and stock by ZIP code
Pass a US ZIP code or Walmart store id to see the prices, stock, and pickup options a shopper in that area sees. Blocking, retries, and parsing are handled on our side.

Call the Walmart API in one request
Same key, same request shape, on both Walmart endpoints.
import requests
# Search Walmart for a keyword, cheapest first, priced for one ZIP code
r = requests.post(
"https://api.yepapi.com/v1/walmart/search",
headers={"x-api-key": "YOUR_API_KEY"},
json={"query": "air fryer", "sort": "price_low", "zip": "84074"},
)
data = r.json()["data"]
for p in data["products"]:
print(p["price"], p["rating"], p["title"])// Get one Walmart product by item id or URL
const res = await fetch("https://api.yepapi.com/v1/walmart/product", {
method: "POST",
headers: {
"x-api-key": "YOUR_API_KEY",
"Content-Type": "application/json",

const { data } = await res.json();
console.log(data.price, data.out_of_stock, data.fulfillment.delivery_information);A Walmart API for product search, prices, and stock
YepAPI's Walmart API gives you two endpoints for public Walmart.com data: keyword search and product details. Search returns the full results page, usually 40 to 60 products with price, rating, seller, stock, and fulfillment. Product returns everything about one item: price and rollback price, UPC, specifications, variants, images, and delivery, pickup, and shipping details. Both are POST requests with a JSON body, return the same response envelope, and cost $0.01 per call.
It is built for the jobs people actually use Walmart data for: price tracking, retail and market research, catalog enrichment, and comparing Walmart against Amazon. Search a keyword, open the products that matter, and check them again on a schedule, all with one API key.
The data is public Walmart.com (US) data. YepAPI is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Walmart.
What is the Walmart API?
The Walmart API is a way to read Walmart product data from code instead of a browser. Walmart's own developer APIs are aimed at marketplace sellers, suppliers, and approved affiliates, and require an account plus signed requests. YepAPI's Walmart API returns public product data (search results, prices, stock, sellers, and specifications) with one API key and no approval. Start with the Walmart Search API, then open items with the Walmart Product API.
Do I need a Walmart API key?
No. You only need a YepAPI key, which you create in the dashboard after signing up. There is no Walmart developer or affiliate account to register, no consumer id or private key, and no request signing. Send the key in the x-api-key header and call either endpoint.
Walmart API pricing and cost
Every Walmart endpoint costs $0.01 per call. There is no subscription, no monthly minimum, and no charge for failed calls, including searches with no results and products that do not exist. Tracking 1,000 products once a day costs $10 a day; checking 50 keywords once a day costs $0.50. You start with $5 in free credit and no card, so you can test the whole Walmart API before paying anything.
A Walmart scraper API without the scraping
Scraping Walmart yourself means fighting blocks, rotating proxies, and rewriting your parser every time the page changes. The YepAPI Walmart API returns structured products directly. Use the Walmart Search API as a Walmart search results scraper, and the Walmart Product API as a Walmart product and price scraper. For any other walmart.com page, the Web Scraping API returns it as markdown, HTML, or text.
Walmart and Amazon data on one key
The same YepAPI key covers the Amazon API, so you can run a query through the Walmart Search API and the Amazon Search API side by side, then match items with the Walmart Product API and the Amazon Product Details API. Walmart returns the UPC (gtin) when it is listed, which makes cross-retailer matching straightforward.
Looking for a Walmart API alternative?
YepAPI gives you the same data with simpler pricing. One API key, pay per call, no monthly minimums.
What developers say
“Switched from SerpAPI and cut our SERP costs by 80%. Same data quality, way simpler billing.”
“One API key for AI models, SERP data, and web scraping. Saved us from managing 4 separate providers.”
“The $5 free credit let us prototype our entire rank tracking feature before committing. No other API does that.”
Frequently asked questions
The Walmart API lets you read Walmart.com product data from code. YepAPI's Walmart API covers it in two endpoints: search (the full results page for a keyword, with price, rating, seller, stock, and fulfillment for each product) and product (one item's full record, including UPC, specifications, variants, images, and delivery details). Both return JSON and cost $0.01 per call.
No. You do not need a Walmart developer, seller, or affiliate account, and there is no request signing. Create a YepAPI key in the dashboard, send it in the x-api-key header, and call either endpoint. The same key also works for our Amazon, SEO, SERP, scraping, and AI APIs.
Every YepAPI Walmart endpoint costs $0.01 per call, with no subscription and no monthly minimum. Failed calls are free, including searches with no results and product ids that do not exist. New accounts get $5 of free credit with no card required, which covers 500 calls.
Yes. Both endpoints accept a 5-digit US zip or a Walmart store_id. Prices, stock, and pickup or delivery options then reflect what a shopper in that area sees, and search responses include the resolved city, state, ZIP, and store.
Yes. Search results and product responses both include price, and price_strikethrough when an item is on rollback or sale. Store those values on a schedule and alert on changes. Search is cached for 30 minutes and product data for 6 hours, so checking more often than that returns the cached copy.
It returns the stock status Walmart shows shoppers: out_of_stock, plus delivery, pickup, and shipping availability, localized when you pass a ZIP code or store. Walmart does not publish exact unit counts, so no unit quantity is returned.
Walmart.com, the US store. Walmart Canada, Walmart Mexico, and other regional Walmart sites are not supported.
Yes. Every endpoint is a plain HTTPS POST with a JSON body, so requests.post with an x-api-key header is all you need. There is no SDK to install, and the same pattern works for search and product lookups.
No. YepAPI is an independent service that returns publicly available Walmart.com data. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Walmart. You are responsible for using the data in line with the laws and terms that apply to your use case.
