The Reddit User Comments API for comment history

The YepAPI Reddit User Comments API returns the comment history of any Reddit user. Send a username to /v1/reddit/user-comments and get back their comments with body, score, subreddit, permalink, and the post each comment replied to, at $0.01 per call.

Comments are where Reddit users show what they know and what they think. This endpoint makes that history queryable.

What does the Reddit User Comments API return?

A comments array and a cursor. Each comment has id, name, author, body, score, subreddit, permalink, parent_id, post_id, post_title, post_url, created_utc, created_at, edited, stickied, and is_submitter.

Build expert finders and account reviews

Pull a user's comments with sort=top to see their most upvoted contributions, group them by subreddit to see their areas of expertise, or feed the text into an AI model on the same key to summarize their views. It works well next to the Reddit User Posts API.

Reddit User Comments API pricing: $0.01 per call

Every call costs a flat $0.01 and failed calls are free. There is no monthly minimum, no seat fee, and no Reddit app to register: you only need a YepAPI key. Feeds are cached for 15 minutes.

Input and sorting

username accepts spez, u/spez, or a profile URL. sort accepts new (default), hot, or top; with top, add time=hour, day, week, month, year, or all.
